I have hijacked Aaron's blog. Bwah-hah-hah...
1) First and foremost, thank you thank you thank you to all who have helped with our boys this week, meals brought, cards, care packages, texts, emails, facebook messages, and the prayers said on our behalf. I am sure all of the prayers have been heard and I pray blessings on your behalf for doing so.
2) My heart is full when thinking of the huge undertaking that Aaron has placed on his shoulders. One friend relayed to me that "Aaron is an ox. He can do this." He has done it. All. I am in awe of his strength, wisdom and unconditional love. He is my bright star.
3) The boys. How beautiful and resilient they are! A conversation I had with Cohen today:
C: Where are you going mom?
Me: Oh, just upstairs to go to the bathroom.
C: Why do you have to go upstairs?
Me: I just have to go upstairs to go to the bathroom and take some medicine that's upstairs.
C: Oh. Wait wait wait! He then hands me a drawing he had been working on that says "I luv you!" With red hearts all over and at the bottom it simply says "MOM!"
Jensen is silly, smart and still our little "happy feet." He is always dancing. A tune on a commercial can spur a ballet move or the Daniel Tiger song can induce full on break dancing. Today he waltzed. And we didn't teach him—he has music in his bones. His latest quip is to tell us he will be potty trained "later." First it was after Christmas then after Grandma comes and now it's just later. Jensen rules.
Eli is my bowl full of jelly. He had been on the small side, but I am sure he is not there any more! He still has short legs—barely on chart. He has a jumper/exersaucer that he loves, but he is too short to jump!! The best part of today is that I heard "mama" from Eli. Awesome.
I am overwhelmed at all the many blessings in my life. Three weeks ago, I was facing a simple surgery and now I am fighting for my life. I feel your strength, your push and your love. Thank you for all of your logo submissions. I love them! I feel like I am climbing a mountain with thousands behind me pushing and sometimes pulling me along. Thank you for being a part of the Team Liz army.

Love your cackling laugh at the beginning - hijacking blogs is awesome! :) I'm so glad you have the 4 best boys in town by your side... love notes, carefree dancing feet, a tiny one with cute legs saying mama (and Aaron doing the laundry) are just the things you need to get through each day. Well... that, and a few vanilla shakes. I am so sorry this week has been rough - cancer and chemo are an uphill climb no doubt, but I know you can do it! Your army is behind you 110%!
ReplyDeleteLiz, you ROCK!! And Aaron's not too bad either. Sending you guys positive thoughts and love. Go team Liz.
ReplyDeleteLiz, you still amaze me!! The 4 men in your life are also amazing, but you have played a big part in helping them to be that way. You are a great mother!! Thank you for sharing them all with us. I was so glad to read the note from the patient, not that I don't like Aaron's notes, but love to hear from you. Can't wait to go get yogurt when you are feeling up to it. Go Team Liz!!
ReplyDeleteLove your post Liz! You are amazing and you will PUNCH this thing in the face! Your boys are adorable and what a blessing to have such an awesome husband! You are in our prayers!
ReplyDeleteWe love and think of you guys daily. I am so glad you are surrounded by wonderful people to help and lift your load. It comforts those of us who are not so close. We have been blessing your family in our prayers daily. Even now 12 year old Mason, still says, "Please bless Big Cleavinger's Family, and especially, Sister Big Cleavinger." See the effects of your wonderfulness on my family. We have never forgotten the influence of the best sunbeam teachers EVER! We are cheering for The Big Cleavinger's! Waving our banner high for you! I am no good at graphic design, but I think I will have to send my submission to you in a different way. Go Team Liz!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are feeling well enough to do a little highjacking!! Love all of your comments. You and your family are truly amazing, so much strength in the Cleavinger household. You will punch cancer in the face!!

ReplyDeleteThe Cleavingers are talented writers. Its good to hear from you too Liz. You and Aaron should write a book together. It's the small things in life that brings us joy. Glad you could get out of the house for some ice-cream. Love ya and cant wait to see you in a few weeks.
