Stepping up the competition

Liz woke up at 3:30am with crazy dreams. And needed more pain medicine for her sore tongue STAT, but not for her throat, since her throat is feeling a bit better! And said some crazy stuff. And she makes a funny drunk. And is now asleep again. And I feel like I can say "stat" as often as I like since it's now day 5 at the hospital. So remember that post where I said I'm not a doctor? Well, I think I'm pretty close. Or something like that.

Her WBC is awesome (FINALLY!), in the 20s. But her mouth still hurts too much to eat, so she has to stay at least another day. Here's hoping Friday is the last day here. Worst case Sunday. She's going to try to force the food and fluids today to see if there's any way to head home. Wish her luck!

Last call for Team Liz logos. Because we all know that every battle needs a banner. Final submissions due by 10:48pm Central Time on Friday, March 29. I'll then post all submissions with voting buttons. Winners will be awarded the highest possible honors bestowed by a free blog. Which isn't much of anything. Unless you want to rename the contest so you can put your achievements on your resume.

The most recent logo submissions are below. Things is gettin' fierce.

This one comes from Phil, a great Notre Dame classmate. It comes with the following explanation: "Thought you would like to know there's a pissed off creepy little Irish guy looking out for Liz :)" Yes, Phil, I definitely wanted to know.

This one is not just a logo -- it has already been transformed into an actual shirt that Super Steph actually wears. GAME ON, PEEPS.

Back to bed.

Go Team Liz.

  5. Upward and Onward, yay, yay yay!!! And I seriously wish I were creative and crafty... but not just crafty in a plotting and devious way, then I could come up with a cool team logo. Instead I will just vote and then buy the shirt. :) Love you guys!!!

  6. Happy, happy, joy, joy about the blood count. Glad your throat is doing better, now lets get the mouth on board. I too wish I was creative, but I am a heck of a cheerleader for TEAM LIZ. Lets hope you get to escape tomorrow. But like your friend says, slow and steady wins the race.
