At least the WiFi works

At the cancer center, waiting to be seen. Waiting is the worst part.

It's ironic how the same hospital that kept Liz healthy and saved Eli's life now is the source of treatment to save her life.

It was also somehow calming to have my phone automatically connect to WiFi while we wait to see the oncologist. And the heavenly harp is gone. Whew.

Before the doc comes back to see us, I wanted to again thank those who have reached out to help, and especially everyone who has been thinking about and praying for us. We now have "ins" to get opinions from both University of Chicago and Northwestern, two of the best cancer research hospitals anywhere. We're grateful to have randomly found the surgeon at our hospital, who has his own "in" with the director of oncology, who got us in quickly. We feel great strength and care from so many people. That's one way The Lord provides comfort: through the service of others. So thanks.

Here we go... Wish us luck.

Go Team Liz.

  1. Ok... I'm liking the picture of Liz more than this freaky picture of you. ;) Although - I'll have to admit, it's a real expression of what was going on inside of me when Eric was going through this. It's all just a freaky experience!!

So glad for wi-fi (it's like a comfort food). So glad for love and prayers. So glad you guys are feeling an outpouring. So glad for divinely directed "ins"... so glad you are in the right place at the right time. So glad your family is in good hands... both at home and at the hospital.
