C: No, I like tackles.
J: No, I like tackles more.
C: My tackles are like best dog tackles ever.
J: Look at this pizza, it's like a house.
C: I'll tackle you like a shark and eat your face.
J: Let's do this thing. Banana crusher! Dad, do you want to be the cow?
And, scene.
Roll credits: Cohen and Jensen.
Today was a great reminder of the goodness and blessings in our lives. Even if I have a headache from the constant awesome conversation.
Grandma bought the boys each a little toy today. Grandmas rule. She got a cute baby rattle for Eli. Hard plastic, first grab, smashed himself in the face. He yelled at Grandma for the next 5 minutes. And we took pictures to document the injury. And Grandma put herself in time out.
I'm a bit overwhelmed today. Family, church, work, school... Not sure how to do it all. So we'll just prioritize and do the best we can. Time is dragging now, waiting for the oncology appointment Monday...
Tylenol. Dinner. One step after the other. Back to the boys: "Jensen, no more cars on baby's face!"

Hahaha!! I love little kids... their imaginations are awesome. Even when the jaws of hell are gaping at you... they'll distract you away from the edge with their random, but sweet talk of banana crushers, cows and pizza. The pic of your mom in the corner is a classic - I totally laughed. :)
ReplyDeleteAaron, you are wiser than you know - sounds to me like you have more figured out than you know. PS - You might also be wise to buy stock in Tylenol. Just sayin'.
Thank you for making me laugh! I have heard laughter is the best medicine! Hope you guys have lots of laughs through this process and millions after we have won this fight! Go Team Liz & Aaron!
ReplyDeletePoor, poor Grandma!
ReplyDeleteOkay, the picture of your Mom in timeout is just dang funny. Sounds like you guys are getting your ducks lined up in a row. You will get through this, and just like everything else you guys have been through. You will come out stroner on the other side. Love you guys
ReplyDeleteI love the things kids say. Laughter definitely helps the hard days!
