Herceptin, Perjeta, and Taxatore today. Lots of other meds to help prevent negative side effects of the fun juice. Nurses recommend checking out www.chemocare.com if you want more info about the treatment. Much better and safer than random Google searches (trust us!). The treatment doesn't feel great, and she's had a migraine off and on for a couple of days. She was feeling queasy, hurting, and aching in her joints, so the pros just knocked her out with meds that should help the pain and nausea. She might have a rough week. We'll be here for around 6 hours today, but it's good that at least we're starting to fight the disease. Chemo every 3 weeks. Future treatments should only be 2-3 hours. The cancer in her liver and anywhere else in her body are confirmed to be the same as the breast cancer, which means that these treatments will attack it all. Just have to make sure she's in the 80%+ of people who respond to this treatment regiment. So please pray for that!

Hi Aaron and Liz. I'm Jeanne Flosi--you might know me since I teach R.S. I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Two years ago I had anal cancer. I went through two rounds of chemo and radiation. I was at Edward Hospital in Naperville. So I have some idea of what you are both going through. Believe me, it is hard! But it is also hopeful. Family and friends make such a difference. If I can help you in any way please let me know. I could tell you of my experience so you might have some idea of what to expect, although every case is different. Sounds like Aaron is doing so much to build you up and this is exactly what you need. I'm glad to hear that you feel confident about your doctors. I found that the nurses were so very helpful. As you know, we are all praying for you. This will be the best medicine. Again, if it would be helpful to talk, please let me know.

We went through breast cancer treatments a year ago and we know it isn't easy but we know that Heavenly Father send special sustaining blessings to those going through trials. You can do it! We will be rooting and cheering for you!!! ( I should clarify that just I had breast cancer, not the whole family :) although all of us were affected for sure). David and Rebecca Hirschi
